The Candidate Bulletin: Your Roadmap to CPA Success
So I passed my last part of the CPA Exam! Farah's CPA Success Story

Recovering from a 73 :(

In October I took the Audit section of exam.  When I received my score I stared at the screen for a moment in disbelief…so close…yet so far.  I scored a 73 on the exam.  Where should I start? I was numb.

After many sleepless nights, missed outings and giving up my lunch break NASBA could not find 2 points in the cookie jar to loan me?  I would give it back…..right?...LOL…I needed to add some humor to it rather than cry about having to devise a plan to review all the material again.  I searched online that entire week to hopefully come across a blog that gave me some comfort in the steps I should take to pass the exam the next time since I was so close.

My only weakness was the simulations and I’m assuming that was my downfall.  My confidence was totally shot and I wondered if I really knew the material as well as I thought and was somewhat reluctant to just “do as many questions as possible”.  However, after starting with Ch1 homework I realized I actually knew the stuff and made notes again on the ones I missed.  I plan to retake audit in April and I plan on passing.

This is my year for the CPA!
